"BUT WHO'S COMING TO VISIT?"

Today was the first day since Christmas Break that I didn't have anywhere to go or any Preschool or Kindermusik! So I decided as any sane person would (not do the sharing time for tomorrow) I CLEANED THE HOUSE:) Oh it was GREAT!! I swept, I mopped, I cleaned bathrooms, vaccumed the stairs, cleaned bedrooms, Bleached the Sink! It was like I told Andy, The Maid FINALLY Showed up! Andy and Spencer were gone for the Winter Campout, so it was I and the younger 4. It felt sooooo good to have a clean house. When I got finished I asked the kids what they thought of a clean house and they all looked at me and said "But you never told us, who's coming to visit?" Do I really never clean unless someone is coming? So all of you out there.... we need visiters! I really can't believe though how great it feels to have a clean house. Too bad the maid doesn't show up more often;)

Pinewood Derby

The CAR!!

This is what all the other cars got to see;)

Because I am finally figuring this blogging thing out, I need to get a little caught up. (At least make it look even because if Wyatt reads this he will wonder where he is:)). We had our Pinewood Derby last month for Wyatts pack. He and Andy worked VERY hard on getting this car done. Poor Andy had all kinds of stress on this car. This being Wyatts first Pinewood Derby and both of Spencers cars receiving 1st place. But they decided they didn't care how well the car did, they just wanted to have fun making the car. They did a Lightning McQueen look (since that is ALL the rave at our house with Dallin). It looked great when they were finished!

Each car at the Rally got to race 8 times. The track was a digital track, so there were no judges having to decipher first, second, third... the computer did it all down to the 100th of a second. Each car would get points for each race, 4th place 1 point, 3rd place 2 points, and so on, making it a possibility to get 32 points total if you were to get 1st every race. Wyatts car got 31 points overall. Making him the winner in his pack as well as the overall winner. He is our sensitive child. So it took us a few days to get out of him if he was excited at all, he didn't want his friends to feel bad that they didn't win, so he just got his certificate and was ready to leave. No smiles or nothing! Funny kid!!! A few days later we asked him if he even cared that he won... He said "OH YEAH!! THAT WAS AWESOME!!!" Gotta love him!

What a Weekend!

I can't believe how much fun being so crazy with kids activities can be! We had such a fun long weekend and it was MOSTLY the kids' activities that kept us busy.

We started with Saturday! What beautiful weather we have been having. So Andy and I decided to take the bikes out and ride outside! What a great time we had! Thank you Andy for being so patient with me as I learn how to ride long distances:) We rode 21 miles and I was definitely finished. But it gives me something to work toward!

Then Kyndall and I left for Pendleton for her competition. Her team was dancing at the Hearts in Motion Dance Competition on Sunday. We got a hotel room because the roads had been so iffy lately. We had so much fun together! We drove to Kennewick and did dinner at Olive Garden and did a little shopping, then hurried back to watch a movie on TV before we needed to get to bed.
We got up Sunday morning at 5:30 and went till 6:00 at the competition. Watched some incredible dancers and won some Trophys! Their team won a Judges Choice and a Blue Ribbon Trophy for their division. We got back to La Grande late that night but had such a great time together. Here are a couple of pictures!

Monday, Andy and Spencer got to go up to Anthony Lakes and build their snow cave for Fridays overnighter! It was a great day to do it. Very sunny and blue sky! They built a wonderful cave that Spencer can even stand up in. Got very sore and tired and came home to rest! They can't wait to go this weekend.
