MY CHRISTMAS PRESENT

It's probably time to get a picture out here of my wonderful Christmas Present! Andy got me my own new bike!!!! He had this great idea to do the Seattle to Portland ride in July together, and in order to do that I needed a bike! It is actually a great bike! He always spoils me a little too well:) He keeps teasing me that I only like riding because I have an excuse to buy new clothes... don't you think they look so attractive? Spandex shorts and jerseys don't count to me as "clothes"! So we have been trying to ride as much as possible in this 35 degree weather. We were so excited to go on Tuesday evening because it had been in the 50s. We started out and my thermometer said 53. As we rode, it dropped to 31. That was so depressing to watch it drop. And of course my hands were feeling that by the end. Please sun..... Come out to play..... We need some warm riding!

SPRING BREAK PART 2

OK, so I never finished my posting our Spring Break Trip, and since I want to 'Blurb' this eventually, I need to finish. I wish I could figure out how to Post Date this thing. Oh well.
So, please excuse the really bad Red Eye in the following few posts. I tried for days to figure out how to fix them in Photoshop, I know it is a real easy thing, but the more I tried, the more evil everyone looked.... so you get the red eye:) We didn't take the big camera on the trip, so the pics are a little different quality, and then half way through the trip we ended up with a fingerprint on the lense and didn't realize it for a day or so... But they are pictures and they document the trip!

On Easter Sunday, after a delicious dinner (Thanks Becky and Mom!), (which I should have taken pictures of the food, because, well, it's a Moore Dinner.... That's photo worthy for sure!), our family was introduced to "WII GUITAR HERO"! That was a HIT!! We had so much fun!!! Of course now everyone is on the search for Guitar Hero and an extra guitar, but at Walmart they only have the game with the guitar. Spencer, the problem solver that he is, has decided that we buy two games, take out the guitar, and sell the game by itself on Ebay. My question is who would want the game without the guitar. But he doesn't seem to think that is his problem!!! Here are some great shots of us playing. Wyatt didn't get a picture... I think by the time he got a shot at it, I had put the camera away!!! Sorry Wyatt:)

I don't know how I didn't get a shot of Grandpa playing. I think he really enjoyed it too!!! I don't remember Grandma giving in and trying it though. Maybe next time!

The cousins had so much fun together playing!!! They all did so well!
Grace and Jordan are inseparable and it's like they haven't missed a beat when they see each other. I hope they can always stay that way. For some reason it seems like they get older and realize one is a boy and the other a girl..... I don't know that they will care though....

The next day we were off to Temple Square. That was way fun!! We had a good time and the weather was Excellent! We got to spend some time in the Church History Museum... there is a lot of great stuff in there..... too bad we had the little one without a Stroller..... we could only look at a little of it, then I was off to the Primary Kids Exhibit with the little ones and Andy took Spencer and looked through some of the other interesting things!
Here are the kids pushing a Hand Cart....

This one made me realize how so many little ones were lost getting under a wheel. Dallin would NOT be left out, and it was a new challenge having him in the mix (while on carpet, let alone a rocky, unpredictable trail.
Photobucket

This one was the best.... they had a display about the Tabernacle and how it was built and then a little mock up talking about the Prophets who had spoken from the pulpit.... So Dallin climbs up there and we couldn't resist. What is it Brett? D. Aidan Perry?

It was definitely a long day!!!

Have to get off to Soccer, Piano, Voice, Akido and home again... I'll have to finish later:)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRACE!!!!

CAUTION: The following post contains A LOT of PINK!!!
Yesterday was the BIG, much anticipated, Fifth Birthday of our Miss Grace!!!
Happy Birthday Gracie Boo!!! Grace is such a great child! Full of personality and life! Everything is fun and exciting to her. She is always the center of the room when she goes out:) Funny thing about Grace and living in a small town, Grace is pretty sure she knows everyone in town because EVERYONE KNOWS GRACE!!! Really, truly, we can go anywhere and people know who she is! Funny girl! Grace adores her older siblings and is Dallins very best buddy ever. Daddy's Princess, and Moms Bestest Buddy, we truly do EVERYTHING together. I can't believe she is a big 5 Years old!
Here are some shots from the Birthday Party (it's been being planned for only 5 months! She was SUPER excited!)

The Birthday Girl in all her Glory!! (Why is it when you want a great picture they don't want to cooperate...)

This one is a shot of all the girls at the table working on their crowns and making their "kiss" for the pin the kiss on the frog game! We put some bright lipstick on them and then they kissed the paper to make their kiss. She had a great group of girls come. So fun!

The Cake she ordered back in January... she is a planner:)

Hitting the Pinata... this was all she talked about the rest of the day. Had I known that we would have just done a pinata and had cake!

These were the Birthday Bags for each of the girls. I ended up making 10 of them (so Kyndall could have one and an extra in case one got messed up) After the 3rd I was rethinking my plan, but was commited at that point! I was super excited about these though. My Dollar Tree Placemats worked pretty well!
Photobucket

These two are for Grandma and Grandpa. This was one of the only Birthdays that they haven't been here to watch the kids open their present. I don't know why I just didn't have her do it at Easter weekend while we were there, just wasn't on my mind at the moment I guess. She was ecstatic!!! Look at that face!

EASTER EGG HUNT

Sunday morning was Wonderful!! I loved being at my mom and dads! We might have to make this a tradition;)
The kids loved their Easter Goodies from the Easter Bunny (Thanks Easter Bunnies) and of course enjoyed their new Webkinz... We can't seem to get enough of those!
Then it was outside to do some egg hunting. (We were so excited that church wasn't until 1:00 so we could take it lazy!)
Hunting for eggs was great! Dallin was not real sure what was going on... He kept dragging his basket and dropping the eggs back out. Wyatt started just following him and picking things up and putting them in when he would stop again.

the hunt is on

what is wyatt doing?

Kyndall wasn't so sure if she happened to be super short, or the Easter Bunny was super tall!
is the Easter Bunny really THAT TALL?

Then we were in to eat and get ready. I didn't end up with any GREAT shots of everyone dressed in their Easter Best... But I intend to do that "one of these days!" As you can see, the boys don't love the dress up and say cheese part!

easter best?

Grace and Dallin were the only ones who didn't run home and change before I could get some individual shots. Grace is always up for a picture, but Dallin, not so much!

There is so much more to post... but got to get breakfast going... the kids are finally up!

More Spring Break

So after coloring eggs and a leisurly veiwing of "HORTON HEARS A WHO" we were off to see the Crutchfields! We love going to visit them!
We ate some Wonderful barbecue and a Key Lime Cheesecake that was to die for! (not on the menu for our training... but mmmmmm....)
The kids played wonderfully together despite the older kids are so much older. They love to play XBOX on Uncle Bretts big screen and Conner is so patient to share with SO MANY KIDS!
It's always a bummer to have to go home so quickly. But there were some VERY tired kids involved! Thanks Brett and Corina for such a great time! It is always a treat to see you all!
It's your turn next, we are always ready for a visit!
(Corina, I stole pics from your blog, since we forgot our camera.... Thanks!)

SPRING BREAK

OK, Here goes a very LONG post!
We left on Friday for Spring Break Trip to Grandmas in Utah!! Woo Hoo!!! We hadn't been since last August, so it was time!
We loaded up and did the trip very quick and easy... which is a huge accomplishment with 5 kids!
Saturday was our start out of the gate day!
We spent the morning coloring Easter Eggs with the cousins... (We missed you guys Shelly and Barb!)
They had so much fun together!

This picture cracks me up! You would think, considering what is going on, that someone just dropped an egg. What really happened is that Dallin WAS in the picture there, and all of a sudden dropped to his knees.... He'd had it with this fun stuff!:)

what was that?

This is the shot with all of the messy hands. They actually didn't do too bad... Grandma Sherry quickly took them in to the bathroom to clean them up with Clorox! I remembered all of a sudden why Easter smells weren't always the vinegar, it was Bleach. I never really remembered why till then:) Thanks Grandma!

REPORT CARD DAY

The kids came home with their report cards the other day. That is always a day that I don't necessarily look forward to. First of all, they have HUGE expectations of themselves and tend to compare themselves to each other, making the day very difficult. But, the kids do well on their school work and are very independant workers and in my eyes do very well. They know what they need to get done at school and get it done. An example of this is a big project the twins had before spring break. They are doing oral biographies in their class and had to make a poster board sized portrait of the person they are going to talk about. (They always turn out so cute!). Spencer had done this 2 years ago and had finished his poster before I got home that day. He did a great job, but when we took it to school, the other posters had obviously had a lot of parent help. So this time I was going to be the good mom and help with the poster, so they looked professional like the rest. The twins wanted nothing to do with it. They had their plan and made the posters very nicely all on their own. I can't complain about the kids' motivation and independence!
So back to the report cards.... They all got EXCELLENT scores. They only get the S, P, NI type marks until 4th grade. The twins got almost 100 percent S's. And had improved their scores from last term! GREAT JOB!
Spencer had been determined all year to accomplish straight A's. The first term he had fallen a little short, so this term he had kept in close contact with the teacher and kept an eye on what he needed to do to up those grades that were B's (still very good marks, huh?). Anyway, he came home beaming!! He got STRAIGHT A'S!!! GREAT JOB YOU GUYS:) Here's to one more term the same way huh;)
