NO TRAINING WHEELS

Grace had a flat tire on her bike, which we hadn't fixed because of the bad weather, there was not a reason to fix it yet. So today, Wyatt decided to fix the flat tire for her. While putting the bike back together, he didn't put the training wheels back on:) Grace didn't miss a beat. She just got on and rode off. I guess being child number 4 I hadn't taken the time yet to work with her without training wheels, so she is quite a bit older than the rest were at this stage, I guess it just clicks at a certain age huh? Being the MOM I was worried about the gravel road being a problem, or turning, but it was all a piece of cake to her! We couldn't get her off of the bike! (Don't notice the lack of helmet.... thank goodness we live in a rural area, you can get a ticket for that here! Oh, and her outfit just screams..."It's Sunday and Mom and Kyndall were at choir practice when I got home from church so I could wear anything I wanted!")

Don't you love it when they just pick something up without somebody teaching them? My boys were both 2 1/2 years old when they took their training wheels off. They are crazy boys though and they definitely got hurt alot!!

becky, that is so amazing that they were that young. I think Wyatt was about that old. We were building the house and the kids would just run wild all day. One day I looked out and saw Wyatt cruising on Spencers bike... It's a funny sight when they are that young huh? Boys are funny that way, just so carefree:)

Go Gracie Go!! She looks so proud too! Luke's had his training wheels off for 2 years, and was a natural at it as well! He just took off and there was no falling or getting hurt! She is just too cute!

That is so very cool! Way to go Grace! The pictures are great too!

Brinley for the first time last night went without training wheels herself. I think she might have done it sooner if she had her own bike. She's riding one that used to be Parkers and it's too small for even her.
I guess we need to invest in a new PINK bike for her.
